Hi there, I'm Barbra.
I was born in Nigeria, raised in Houston, and currently living in Milan, where I spend my days documenting the people, places, and special moments that make a life abroad feel like home.
SO Barbs began as a place to collect photographs and bury my adolescent thoughts.
Over time, it became something more.
A journal of cities I've loved, meals I've remembered, conversations that stayed with me, and the malleable moments that shape who we become.
You'll find travel stories, personal essays, food discoveries, reflections on identity, and photographs that I hope feel timeless, or reflective of my state of mind.
I don't believe every moment needs to become content.
Some must be left as memories.
And most deserve to become stories.
This is my corner of the internet where I slow down, express myself earnestly, and create without chasing algorithms. If something here reminds you of your own journey, then I've done my job.
SO Barbs is my living archive, a celebration of legacy, transformation, and beauty in its most intentional form.
Welcome.
